An investment, development and tradeworkshop will be held on March 20, 2017 at the WTO headquarters organized by the MIKTA countries through the coordination of Australia.

The workshop will bring together experts from WTO Members, relevant international organizations and institutions, business and other non-governmental stakeholders to exchange views on the important link between trade, investment and development; recent developments in trade and investment facilitation and the role of the WTO.

The sessionon "Facilitation of Investment for Trade and Development" will be moderated by H.E. Ambassador Kemal Madenoğlu, Permanent Representative of Turkey to the WTO.

It is hoped that theresults of this workshop will contribute to the discussions and the decisions of the11th Ministerial Conference of the WTO to be held in Buenos Aires in December 2017.
