I assumed my duty as Ambassador, Permanent Representative as of 1st April 2025.

The Mission holds accreditation with the WTO, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

As a member of GATT and a founding member of its successor, the WTO, Türkiye assumes an active and constructive role within the Organization, as a reflection of our growing economy, increased foreign trade, and steadfast commitment to multilateralism. As a developing nation, and a member of the EU Customs Union and the G-20, Türkiye gives significant utmost importance to a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive multilateral trading system, contributing to all functions and mechanisms of the WTO and supporting endeavors to strengthen the Organization.

Türkiye stands as a prominent member of WIPO, which facilitates the development of a balanced and effective intellectual property rights system, thereby promoting innovation and creativity. Türkiye has recently achieved a leading position in terms of trademark and industrial design applications, as well as in the publishing sector. We actively engage in WIPO's activities and advocate for the utilization of intellectual property to drive innovation, development, and economic growth.

With a focus on developmental objectives, UNCTAD addresses the needs of developing countries seeking to enhance their participation in international trade. It also provides support to enable these countries to benefit more fairly and effectively from the global economy. We collaborate with UNCTAD across various domains, particularly in projects aimed at assisting the least developed countries.
